By Fr. Stephen Imbarrato: The Protest Priest
THE NEW MEXICO LEGISLATIVE SESSION has come to an end. The focal point for pro-lifers was an Infant Born Alive Act which is already federal law. The purpose of both the House bill and later a House "memorial" was to insure that the NM abortion cartel is complying with the federal law. Now that both those efforts failed in the Republican House, it is imperative that our Republican Governor, Susana Martinez, use her executive authority over the NM Departments of "Health" and "Children, Youth, and Family Services" to insure that the numerous abortion mills in NM are compliant with federal law. With the political climate in NM still making it impossible to get pro-life legislation passed, it is imperative that Governor Susana Martinez be held accountable for her lack of leadership in the area of investigation and oversight of the NM abortion industry. In states all over the country, pro-life governors are using their state agencies and departments as well as their investigative and executive powers to hold the abortion industry accountable and to restrict public funding. Here in NM, with Martinez well into her second term and not facing re-election, the Governor needs to follow the example of other Republican pro-life governors. The people of NM, especially the most vulnerable, our unborn babies, deserve far more than what our Governor has given them. If you are pro-life, Governor, act pro-life; take a bold stand for our unborn babies.

A Decisive Strategy To End Pre-Born Child Killing In 5 Years or Less:
Fr. Stephen Imbarrato: The Protest Priest, a Priest Associate on the Pastoral Staff of Priests for Life, believes that we can end pre-born childkilling in our country in 5 years or less through a sustained peaceful and prayerful national pro-life protest movement.
Let us join together in a national, peaceful protest of preborn childkilling and let's end this scourge of abortion before the end of the next President's 1st term in office.

Protest ABQ is Proud to join Created Equal In This National Effort
Bud Shaver, Executive Director of Protest ABQ issued the following statement, "Now is the opportune time for all of the pro-life organizations across the country to be more strategic and unify our efforts in opposition to Planned Parenthood and the rest of the Abortion Cartel nationwide. Protest ABQ is proud to join Created Equal in exposing the abortion industry's weak link...With every serial murderer, their biggest problem becomes, 'What do I do with all of the dead bodies?'"
Created Equal Announces- #ProjectWeakLink:
In December, videos of the 2013 National Abortion Federation conference were released by GotNews showing abortionist Renee Chelian saying, "We are all one incineration company away from being closed."
Her admission shed light on the weak link of the abortion industry and specifically Planned Parenthood (i.e. medical waste companies). Abortionists depend on them to dispose of their victims' bodies.
In undercover videos leaked by GotNews of a 2013 National Abortion Federation conference, Abortionist Renee Chelian discusses the problem of disposing of aborted babies. While proposing solutions she comments, "I had five months' worth of fetal tissue in my freezers."
The Ohio Attorney General reported in Planned Parenthood Investigation Summary Regarding Disposal of Aborted Fetuses that Stericycle disposes of fetal remains for Planned Parenthood facilities in Ohio. Stericycle is Planned Parenthood's main medical waste service provider in America.
Stericycle's collaboration with Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry through its collection, transportation, and disposal of aborted children and the instruments used to kill them is well documented (see Evidence). Providing this service enables the killing of preborn children. Planned Parenthood depends upon medical waste companies to dispose of dead babies.
Question: What if Stericycle were to stop doing the dirty work of Planned Parenthood?
Answer: Planned Parenthood would be unable to dispose of the babies they kill, and the murder of millions of innocent children by Planned Parenthood would likely halt.
Last summer and fall, Created Equal helped lead 100,000 activists to protest at over 600 Planned Parenthood clinics in each of the fifty states. This coalition is capable of mounting serious opposition to Stericycle (See ProtestPP.com).
If we don't act NOW to pressure these medical waste companies to sever agreements with Planned Parenthood, we will have missed a historic opportunity to stop the killing.
Despite being caught red-handed by the Ohio Attorney General, Selin Hoboy, Vice-President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, has said that Stericycle "does not accept fetuses" in accordance to their Regulated Medical Waste Acceptance Policy. This is merely a semantic ploy.
According to the policy, Stericycle will not accept "complete human remains," which includes fetuses. However, babies are not "complete" after being dismembered, decapitated, and disemboweled in standard abortion methods. Their broken parts and torn tissue are categorized by Stericycle as "pathological waste"—defined as "human or animal parts, organs, tissues, and surgical specimens"—which they do accept. So while they may not be picking up intact fetuses, they do accept aborted babies' fragmented body parts. Stericycle uses this technical exemption to justify their continued collaboration in child-killing.
Don't allow Stericycle to get away with the lie that they don't dispose of aborted babies for Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers.

EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: UNM Publicly Silent, Privately Scrambling in response to U.S. House Panel Investigation
By Tara Shaver
Albuquerque, NM- On the verge of subpoenas for records related to fetal tissue research, Southwestern Women's Options and UNM scramble to comply with U.S. Panel inquiry.
The New Mexico Political Report obtained a statement, shortly after our initial report, from an attorney representing Southwestern Women's Options stating that, "We have formally responded this afternoon to its [the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives] information request, as we previously arranged.” “We will continue to be responsive to the panel’s inquiries and will do so in a manner that protects individuals’ safety and privacy.”
The University of New Mexico, however, has not issued a public statement but behind the scenes emailed it's employees today. This email was leaked by an internal source to Fr. Stephen Imbarrato of Priests for Life and Director of Life Ministries US this evening.
In the email it is clear that the UNM Health Sciences Center is doing damage control in light of the ABQ Journal article released yesterday.
The email reads, "This is the Health Sciences Center’s Response: The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is, has been and will continue to cooperate voluntarily with the United States House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives. We received a letter signed by Committee Chairwoman Representative Marsha Blackburn on January 6, 2016. Today we will be releasing our correspondence with the Panel staff to set the record straight, verifying our cooperation. This initial letter included 19 individual areas, each encompassing a wide range of issues and documents related to our life-saving research. This critical research has already resulted in dramatic improvements in the health of extremely premature babies, including reducing brain damage and blindness. Research using fetal tissue has allowed for discoveries that have led to extremely premature babies now having a greater chance of survival and an improved quality of life at younger and younger ages. This is an historic accomplishment. We submitted an initial response on January 29, 2016, as per our agreement with Panel staff. We were granted an extension to respond with further documents by February 15, 2016 by Special Counsel to the Committee, Frank Scaturro. Our staff has been diligently working to gather responsive documents and we intend to honor our agreement.
We are disappointed that the majority would issue a precipitous press release prior to the February 15 deadline stating that we are not cooperating and are unwilling to submit the documents requested. In light of the documents we are releasing today, this statement is not supported by the actual interactions and agreements with the Panel staff.
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center respects both the Committee and the United States House of Representatives. We remain committed to our mission to save lives, reduce suffering and to provide the best quality of care for our patients."
It seems strange though that if UNM has indeed been voluntarily cooperating that Rep. Blackburn would feel the need to issue a subpoena next week.
For a little background to who is calling the shots at UNM Health Sciences Center, for years Protest ABQ has been bringing awareness to the fact that UNM is the heart of the abortion industry in New Mexico and Dr. Paul Roth, Chancellor for Health Sciences, CEO UNM Health System and Dean of UNM School of Medicine is the driving force behind the scenes.
Protest ABQ has been so vocal about this reality that Dr. Roth wrote a letter almost 18 months ago to Archbishop Michael Sheehan complaining about Fr Stephen Imbarrato. The letter was full of false accusations and untruths. The fact that Dr. Roth wrote the letter validates UNM's concerns about the exposure that Protest ABQ has exposed about UNM's radical abortion agenda.
As Chancellor of Health Sciences and CEO of UNM Health System Roth is responsible for the following:
-UNM Hospital- Performs late term abortions.
-School Based Health Centers- In Albuquerque High Schools and Middle Schools as a means of promoting abortion to NM youth.
-UNM Center for Reproductive Health- Performing abortions up to 22wks. Managed by abortionist Eve Espey, 2014 Margaret Sanger award recipient and mentioned in recent CMP videos as UNM's abortion asset.
-UNM Young Women's Clinic- Also managed by Eve Espey who has worked since last summer with Albuquerque Mayor RJ Berry on a initiative to reduce teen pregnancies through contraception and other reproductive health initiatives such as abortion.
Dr. Roth, in the past over a 2-3 year period, worked with the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce and State Legislators including Republican Senators John Ryan and Rod Adair to try and legalize embryonic stem cell tissue research in New Mexico.
Dr. Roth recently donated $500 to New Mexico Speaker of the House, Republican Donald Tripp. The Republicans recently hosted Dr. Roth at the opening of the 2016 Legislative Session.
Dr. Roth has been a consistent donor to State Democrats who have squashed every pro-life legislation put forth in New Mexico in the last 2 years.
Dr. Roth’s long term relationship with notorious late term abortionist Dr Curtis Boyd is well known.
Is Dr. Roth the one who is behind the initial failure to comply with IPRA's by NMAFL, Protest ABQ and now the failure to comply with the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives document requests?
Fr. Imbarrato issued the following statement:
"The proof of Dr. Roth’s lack of integrity and mindset can be seen in the email released today to Health and Science Center employees when he states, "We remain committed to our mission to save lives, reduce suffering, and to provide the best quality of care for our patients.”
Dr Roth, what about the unborn babies, some viable, that die each and every day under your supervision? How about the mothers who have been documented as wounded in your clinics including the poor mother who is believed to have died in your UNMCRH abortion clinic in July 2011 which I am still investigating?
There have been calls for the termination of abortionist Eve Espey and rightfully so, but it is Dr. Paul Roth who should resign or be terminated by the UNM Board of Regents."
The UNM Board of Regents, Governor Martinez, and AG Hector Balderas, as Protest ABQ has consistently demanded, should begin conducting their own investigation of Dr. Paul Roth’s Health and Sciences Center and his control over the New Mexico abortion industry.

ABQ Journal: U.S House panel to subpoena Albuquerque abortion provider, UNM
(Jim Thompson/Albuquerque Journal)

Albuquerque, NM- The Albuquerque Journal is reporting that because the University of New Mexico (UNM) and Southwestern Women's Options provided no documents and failed to cooperate in a U.S. House inquiry into the harvesting of aborted baby body parts, these entities will be served subpoena's early next week.
"The mission of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives (as it is informally known) is to gather information and get the facts about medical practices of abortion service providers and the business practices of the procurement organizations who sell baby body parts," according to their website. The staff on this panel have sent more than 30 letters requesting documents related to the investigation.
Protest ABQ submitted documentation, compiled over 5 years of research, to the panel today in line with their scope of authority to review, such as "medical procedures and business practices used by entities involved in fetal tissue procurement and practices of providers of second and third trimester abortions."
Protest ABQ and other pro-life groups were told that there were no responsive documents to an Inspection of Public Records Request in 2015, regarding UNM's use of fetal tissue. Months after this request the Albuquerque Journal reported that Southwestern Women's Options was, in fact, the sole provider of fetal tissue to the University of New Mexico.
Fr. Stephen Imbarrato with Priests for Life and Director of Life Ministries U.S., issued the following statement: "UNM is the heart of the abortion industry in NM and hopefully this will be the beginning of the end of their abortion cartel! I am convinced that Dr. Paul Roth is behind the entire cartel and also this coverup. UNM has tried to hide their dealings from NMAFL, Protest ABQ and now the Federal Government.
It is time for the Attorney General, Hector Balderas, to stop campaigning for Hillary Clinton and do a statewide investigation of the New Mexico abortion cartel. It is also time for Gov. Susana Martinez to put pressure on the UNM Board of Regents as well as use her agencies and executive powers to provide oversight to the New Mexico abortion cartel in the Late Term Abortion Capital of the Country."
Protest ABQ filed a formal complaint in July 2015 with New Mexico AG Hector Balderas, asking for an investigation of Southwestern Women's Options based on their consent form that states “pregnancy tissue may be used in medical research.”
"It is clear that both UNM and Southwestern Women's Options believe that they are accountable to no one. This investigation by the U.S. House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives couldn't be more timely as New Mexicans are consistently left with more questions than answers.
It is long overdue that UNM, a publicly funded institution and Southwestern Women's Options, the notorious late term abortion facility, are forced to provide transparency about their involvement in using aborted baby body parts.
New Mexicans deserve to know just how deeply entrenched these two are in this further degradation of human life," stated Bud Shaver, Executive Director of Protest ABQ.
For years it has been evident that fetal tissue was being harvested in New Mexico. Protest ABQ continues to urge Governor Martinez and AG Hector Balderas to investigate at the local level.
Please be in prayer for this panel investigation, that it will shed light on the use of aborted baby body parts in Albuquerque.

Watch Part 3 Video
By Tara Shaver
Albuquerque, NM- To wrap up this 3 part series, the University of New Mexico’s Center for Reproductive Health (UNMCRH) free standing abortion clinic is in the spotlight. UNM is the heart of New Mexico’s abortion industry, one reason being that it participates in the Ryan Residency training program. This program has a concentrated effort to train medical students to perform abortions in hopes to raise up the next generation of abortionists.
You will hear firsthand from a resident in training at UNMCRH how a second trimester abortion is done, but when asked how much it costs or where the abortion facility is, she has no clue. Is this really what UNM wants to be known for, medical students performing abortions and risking women’s lives?
Also, in this final segment Planned Parenthood of New Mexico is caught assuring a 14 year old that her sexual relationship with an adult will be concealed because the state has no mandatory reporting laws. Apparently this kind of cover-up is commonplace in New Mexico, and still the legislature has failed to enact a parental notification bill.
In 2014, Whole Woman’s Health moved into Las Cruces, New Mexico to evade pro-life legislation in Texas. Even though New Mexico has no statewide restrictions on abortion, city laws require businesses to at least be licensed. Whole Woman’s Health is apparently above the law and in this video is caught operating without such a license. If this is a basic requirement that they refuse to meet, what else are they doing to cut corners?
From Albuquerque to Las Cruces, “Reproductive Health Clinics” are doing more harm to women despite their claim to provide quality health care. In fact, the notorious late term abortion clinic in Albuquerque, Southwestern Women’s Options admits that all they can provide women with is an abortion. (Part 1)
Southwestern Women’s Options and UNM have a history of sending injured women to local emergency rooms and UNM uses women as guinea pigs for their student residents to practice on. When will New Mexico lawmakers admit that enough is enough and pass pro-life laws to protect both mother and child?
Fr. Stephen Imbarrato, with Priests for Life and Founder of Life Ministries NM, issued the following statement, “For five years, we have been calling on Governor Susana Martinez to use her investigative, executive, and administrative authority to investigate Southwestern Women’s Options, Planned Parenthood, and the University of New Mexico Center for Reproductive Health abortion clinic. She has not done anything nor has she even uttered a word about the deplorable situation that is the late term abortion capital of the country.
She has tied her own hands by continuing to claim that all she can do is sign bills that come to her desk, therefore, during this 2016 legislative session we presented this research to legislators with the hope that they will make sure that uncompromised legislation reaches Governor Martinez’s desk and that she will sign it into law.”
